Cheryl Cole insists Girls Aloud will get back together.

The 'Promise This' singer has enjoyed huge solo success since the group - which also consists of Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh - took a break last September but she is adamant they will reunite as they have signed a deal.

The 27-year-old beauty said: "We have a three album deal with the record label - we signed it before we took a break. I actually think this break is really important for us as people. Forget artists and whatever we're doing as that, just for us as women. We've been together since I was 19, I remember Nicola's 17th birthday when we'd just got together. We're all young women now and we were living and breathing each other. It was intense and it's been nice to learn about yourself as I felt we'd just morphed into one person. We needed this space to grow.

"Nadine's releasing her first album so she needs that time. So we kind of all just need a bit more time."

Although she can't set a date for the reunion, she says they are all looking forward to working together again.

She told BBC Radio 2: "The strange thing for us is that it doesn't seem like two minutes since were together, Because we still see each other regularly. We haven't split up and we will get back together - just a case of as and when."

Cheryl Cole has been immortalised in wax.

The British singer is the latest star to be honoured with her own replica figure by famous museum Madame Tussauds and she unveiled her double in London today (20.10.10) in front of a host of fans.

As she was introduced to her model doppelganger, Cheryl said: "I can't explain how strange it is! It will take a little while to take in!"

The waxwork reflects Cheryl's glamorous look and is styled in a specially created scarlet floor-length Jean-Paul Gaultier dress with killer heels. The model also has the 27-year-old pop star's trademark flowing locks and can be seen posing with hands on hips.

The new £150,000 wax figure can be found in the A-list party area which includes doubles of Dame Helen Mirren, Robert Pattinson and Russell Brand.

Cheryl Cole thought she was going to die from malaria.

The 27-year-old singer was in "so much pain" from the condition - which she contracted from a mosquito bite during a brief trip to Tanzania with Derek Hough - she convinced herself she was going to pass away.

Cheryl - who was hospitalised for weeks with the disease in July - said: "I thought I was going to die, I actually thought I was going to die. I thought if I'm going to die I want to die soon because I was in so much pain."

While recording an interview for UK TV show 'Piers Morgan's Life Stories' last night (14.10.10), the pop star also confessed she will "always love" ex-husband Ashley Cole - who she is currently in the process of divorcing - and hoped they would be able to be friends in the future.

Cheryl - who was supported by her Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, who were both in the audience - said: "Looking back on it I feel numb. We had a great marriage and a fantastic wedding day and I don't know where it went wrong. To this day I still question that.

"Once we get over this obstacle, I hope we can be friends again. A part of me will always love Ashley."

Cheryl - who is also a judge on Simon Cowell's pop star search show 'The X Factor' - also revealed her fame sometimes leaves her feeling trapped and makes her want to return to her family home in Newcastle and slip into comfy clothing.

She said: "Sometimes I feel completely trapped. But I just can't go back to Newcastle and put on tracksuit bottoms and Ugg boots."
