JLS singer Marvin Humes has suggested the band have a different image and sound to normal boybands.

JLS are not a normal boyband.

Singer Marvin Humes has claimed that the 'One Shot' hitmakers are not like boybands of the past.

He said: "Listeners are much more savvy now. You can't just mime and dance to make it.

"You have to prove yourself a lot more to the public, which goes for everything from your image and style of music to the quality of your album and performances."

The band's sudden success has led to a deluge of fans, some of whom go to extreme lengths to get close to their idols.

Marvin told News Shopper: "Once a girl hid herself in a suitcase and tried to get lost among our luggage when we flew from Heathrow airport. It was pretty intense.

"Another girl wrapped herself up in paper as a human present and delivered herself to us. We have fans trying to break into our hotel and it's all pretty crazy stuff. We just try and tell them to remember to be careful."

JLS are amazed by the amount of attention they get from girls, with singer Aston Merrygold claiming he is offered sex at least ''five times a day''.

Aston Merrygold gets offered sex "five times a day".

'Beat Again' hitmakers JLS are astonished by the amount of female attention they have received since enjoying chart success, but say Aston is the biggest hit with their fans.

His bandmate Marvin Humes said: "If I had to say which one of us gets the most action, I'd go with Aston - he definitely gets the most attention from our fans.

Aston added: "You know it! I'd say I get offered sex at least five times a day."

However, the 'Everybody In Love' singers admit their success has made them more cautious of women and they rarely act on any approaches.

Marvin complained: "It's never that simple. When I meet my mates for a drink, they all go on about how wicked it must be to have girls throwing themselves at us. And yeah, they do - but you can't do the one-nighters or the glamour girls because it will just end up in the newspapers the next day. That's the catch-22. Yeah, we have a lot of attention, but you can't go near 99 per cent of them."

'Everybody In Love' hitmakers JLS will record a new album for release in November next year.

(BANG) -

JLS will record a new album next year.

The British boy band - who topped the UK singles charts with their first two singles 'Beat Again' and 'Everybody In Love' - will return to the recording studio as soon as they've finished touring their debut album 'JLS' and hope to release their second LP in November 2010.

Singer Marvin Humes told The Sun newspaper: "It's straight back into it with the tour in February and the release of our third single. As soon as the tour is finished the plan is that we will go into the studio and start putting the second album together."

The foursome - also consisting of Aston Merrygold, Jonathan 'JB' Gill and Oritse Williams - will rush back into the studio following their last show in March because they need new material before they embark on their first large-scale arena tour at the end of next year.

He added: "That should be ready to go by November and fans will be able to hear the new songs at the arena tour next December."

Last month, the band - who were runners-up in last year's UK TV singing contest 'The X Factor' - signed an expensive deal with record label EMI which will help them cash in from their new material.
