Will Young claims he can predict the future.

The 'Leave Right Now' singer - who shot to fame after winning UK talent show 'Pop Idol' in 2002 - says he knew he would be successful in his career and the achievements he would make.

He said: "I am a little bit psychic. I predicted 'Pop Idol'. I predicted I would win a competition for a singer.

"I predicted that I would do a film based in the 30s with Dame Judi Dench. I wrote it all down. And I predicted I would do a Noel Coward play."

In 2005, Will took on the role of Bertie in 'Mrs. Henderson Presents', alongside Judi and Bob Hoskins, he also trod the boards in the Royal Exchange Theatre's production of 'The Vortex' by Noel Coward from January to March 2007.

Will isn't the only celebrity to believe in psychic power.

It was recently revealed Katie Price has turned to a psychic to help her get back with ex-husband Peter Andre.

The glamour model has reportedly had consultations with guru Mama Love to find out if she could rekindle her relationship with the 'Behind Closed Doors' singer, who she divorced earlier this year.

Mama Love said: "She did ask me if getting back with Peter would stabilise her life.

"I told her that was one of the things she had to figure out for herself. I did tell her, though, not to even give Alex Reid one thought."

Will Young treated fans to a rare performance of his debut single 'Evergeen' when he performed in London at the weekend.

(BANG) -

Will Young wowed London fans with a greatest hits set on Saturday (21.11.09).

The 'Hopes and Fears' hitmaker performed a career-spanning list of tracks at the city's Hammersmith Apollo, including a rare outing for first single 'Evergreen' - the song released when he won UK TV talent show 'Pop Idol' in 2002 - to close the evening.

Looking comfortable and relaxed, the singer chatted with fans between songs, taking an impromptu poll to see who the crowd favoured on UK TV contest 'The X Factor' after revealing he had been watching backstage up until the point where he was due to start his performance.

Whenever he spoke to the crowd, silence descended with the audience hanging on his every word - though when a joke about families fell flat, the singer simply laughed it off and mocked his own inabilities as a comedian.

Hits including 'Your Game', 'Leave Right Now' and 'Light My Fire' were interspersed with cover versions, including a piano-backed interpretation of The Buzzcocks' punk classic 'Ever Fallen In Love' and a jazz version of Tears For Fears hit 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World'.

'Hopes and Fears' singer Will Young has had therapy to boost his self confidence after becoming a ''loony reclusive pop star''.

(BANG) -

Will Young thought having therapy was like being in a comedy.

The 'Hopes and Fears' singer struggled to cope with fame and, after fearing he was turning into a "loony pop star", sought help from a therapist and embarked on a week-long course to boost his self-esteem.

He said: "I had thought I was coping well with my job and being famous but I became scared of going out and meeting people. I was going into loony, reclusive-pop-star mode, which is very easy to do because you're always busy and people tend to do what you want.

"I went on the course and stood up and said, 'Hi, I'm Will, I'm a pop star and I'm not very confident.' It was like being in a comedy. But it was extremely valuable. I'm going on another one soon. I'm looking forward to it."

Will now sees a therapist regularly and says he has learnt to boost his confidence by always trying to challenge himself and face his fears.

He added: "At the risk of sounding like a self-help manual, it's about fulfilling your potential. That's surely what life's about.

"There's a part of me that so wants to be a recluse and not do anything that I push myself into mad situations just to prove to myself that I can do it."
