SPARTACUS - GODS OF THE ARENA is the prequel to the critically acclaimed SPARTACUS - BLOOD AND SAND. Quintus Lentulus Batiatus becomes a lanista (manager)of a group of gladiators. He is desperately seeking recognition of his own and to step out of his father's shadow by taking his gladitors to greatness. His best gladiator, Gannicus is a skilled warrior and Batiatus' best chance at success. However, there are those that oppose Batiatus and plot against him to fail.
