Paul Weller’s Sonik Kicks follows his critically acclaimed 2010 rock album, Wake Up the Nation, which earned a coveted Mercury Prize nomination. The 14-track album features collaborations with Oasis guitarist, Noel Gallagher, as well as Graham Coxon from Blur. The prolific ex-frontman from The Jam went on to form The Style Council before paving his career as a successful solo artist. Described as blending soul, jazz and psychedelia, Sonik Kicks will feature new influences such as pop and dubstep, and in Weller’s own words, is “electronic, experimental and ground breaking”.
