When their owners are out they come to life battling out they life long feud between the two families. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s classic play Romeo and Juliet, the director of Shrek 2 has created a masterful animated adaption of the play that tells the tale of how Gnomeo and Juliet fall in love, a love that is forbidden between the two rival families. Under the cover of darkness the two lovers meet but run into many obstacles along the way. This is a brilliant mixture of classic literature, kung fu action, light hearted humour, fun for all the family, and in the end a tale of love. It’s brilliantly funny and beautifully directed by Kelly Asbury, and features world famous acts such as James McAvoy, Michael Caine and the one and only Ozzy Osbourne.
