Synopsis

Canine comic strip star MARMADUKE leaps to the big screen with this family-friendly comedy starring Owen Wilson as the voice of the large yet lovable Great Dane. Also lending their voices to the 20th Century Fox production are Steve Coogan, pop star Fergie, George Lopez, and the brotherly duo of Damon and Marlon Wayans, with William H. Macy and Judy Greer heading up the human cast. When the Winslow family migrate to California where Phil (Lee Pace) is head of accounts for a dog-food company while his wife (Judy Greer) three children and their beloved Great Dane, MARMADUKE travel from Kansas to the sunshine state. Once there, the big canine befriends a group of mutts at the local park but he soon shoots to world-wide stardom after a surfing competition. But fitting in with his new friends and a potential romantic pedigree isn’t always easy for a super-sized teenage dog. With his four-legged life turned upside down, he must navigate the turf wars eventually being significant in overcoming a recent disaster, this is a test of the importance of family and friendship.
