Synopsis
The Kings Speech on DVD is masterfully moving tale claiming one of the biggest box office takes in recent cinema. King George VI was crowned king after his brother Kind Edward VIII abdicated to pursue his love with Wallis Simpson, a controversial American socialite much hated by the English public for her disrespect for English traditions and values. King George VI, nicknamed Bertie, was born with a speech impediment that plagued him throughout public life. As the country heads into the Second World War Bertie asks for the help of Lionel Logue for speech therapy, so he can address and serve his country in this time of need. The Kings Speech on DVD is a private and emotional tale of a sensitive king, who musters the courage to overcome inner demons that have plagued him since childhood, to fulfil his duty to the nation.
