Set mere months after the events of the first film in which a lethal virus decimated almost the entire worldwide population and turned the dead into ravenous, flesh-eating zombies, a band of survivors has taken refuge at a military installation. While the mix of army and civvies is happy to wait it out ready for instruction of where to find their next safe haven, their sanctuary comes crashing down around them when it becomes the target of a devastating zombie attack.
