Specific novels include Treasure Island, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Pride and Prejudice.

Turned on its side, the Nintendo DS is the ideal device to mimic a book, the DS stylus used to quickly turn each page and navigate the simple menus. Text size can be altered to suit the reader and bookmarks can be used to mark a place if a novel is left unfinished. Menu systems have been designed to help reader choose from the massive amount of novels without becoming overwhelmed, with selection made by subject matter or length.
