Synopsis

Hidden object puzzles meet the mysteries of ancient Egypt in this portable addition to the Jewel Quest series.

Mixing fast-paced storytelling with a more subdued form of puzzle solving, the Jewel Quest Mysteries series adds a healthy dose of suspense to the typically plot-free puzzle genre. Travelling to the ruins of ancient Egypt, players must search for jewels and other objects hidden within detailed Egyptian environments. 18 environments are included in total, with 17 unique picture screens to comb for clues.

Utilizing both of the DS’ screens, Curse of the Emerald Tear allows players to view each environment as a whole or zoom into selected areas using the DS touch screen and stylus. As players explore each area, they will come across hidden gems and coins that can be used to unlock extras during gameplay. This DS edition also offers players an additional free hidden object game: Mysteryville.
