Synopsis
Travel the land of Sinnoh and try to catch all the Pokémon in the next instalment of the popular Pokémon series on the Nintendo DS.
Pokémon Diamond follows the usual premise of Pokémon games, but with many new features. Players take on the role of a trainer who is lucky enough to be given a Pokémon of their preferred type (leaf, water and fire) by the fascinating Professor Rowan. They then embark on an epic journey across the land, where among many other things, gym leaders will be battled, the evil Team Galactic encountered, legendary Pokémon dominated (such as Dialga, pictured) and most importantly, the Elite Four conquered in order to become the greatest Pokémon master. It is now possible to collect all 493 Pokémon, although some may need to be transferred from older games.
Gameplay is similar to older games in the series, but now takes place on both screens. The upper screen shows the character moving around the world while the lower screen shows the Poketech - a helpful device containing many gadgets. In battles the lower screen is used to select moves and items with the stylus.
A complete adventure, with countless different activities, Pokémon Diamond is a thoroughly engaging RPG that all fans of the series will love.
