The Ridge Racer series returns to the racing world thanks to Nintendo’s 3DS, offering the same colourful and fast-paced racing alongside unique 3D visuals.
The Ridge Racer series has long been a mainstay of any console’s launch line-up, and once again the series makes its arrival on a new handheld - this time the Nintendo 3DS. Returning to the arcade style racing that made the series such a fan favourite, Ridge Racer 3D sees players drift through hairpin turns alongside a pounding pop soundtrack. Highly-powered muscle cars now join the traditional sports cars on offer to make each race a more aggressive affair on the track.
Drifting has always been the most important tactic in the Ridge Racer series, and now players have been given a drift button to ensure they can tackle each turn without losing any sense of speed. Thanks to the 3D capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS, players can now more easily judge the distance between racers as they tear across each track.
Ridge Racer 3D captures the fast pace and techno-style of the long-running series, its 3D visuals and updated drift mechanics ensuring its stays accessible to new racing fans.
