Synopsis
Another treasured Capcom franchise is given a welcome reboot in this modern day addition to the action adventure series.
Released in the 1980s, the original Bionic Commando is still considered by many to be a classic platform action game. Although recently remade for Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network, this addition to the series is a fully-fledged sequel, with a storyline that continues ten years after the original. Taking the role of Nathan Spencer, players are given the use of a new bionic arm grafted to Nathan’s body and given the task of stopping a terrorist group Known as Bio-Rain, who has just detonated an experimental weapon in Ascension City.
Nathan has been given an upgrade since his last outing, now with brand new bionic arm allowing him to swing through buildings and across rooftops using his momentum - a challenging skill to master, but one that makes crossing each expansive level far more satisfying. This bionic arm can also be used against enemies, who can be thrown across rooms and flattened. The usual array of exotic weaponry is also on hand to deal with every adversary.
Bionic Commando makes its well-deserved and triumphant return to consoles with this update to the now classic platforming formula.
