Synopsis
The second batch of Fallout 3’s impressive collection of downloadable content is placed onto one disc, once more expanding the already impressive size of the Fallout world.
Few could argue that Bethesda has offered up some of the most expansive and detailed pieces of extra content ever seen for an adventure title, many offering entirely new environments and storylines. Fallout 3’s second selection of content offers Broken Steel and Point Lookout - arguably the largest and most in-depth of Bethesda’s offerings.
Broken Steel is the first piece of extra content on offer. Most importantly for Fallout fans that have been playing since release, this content raises the somewhat small level cap of 20 to a far more challenging 30. Rather than move players to a separate environment, Broken Steel takes place mostly in the well-worn Washington D.C. after the events of the main storyline. Point Lookout moves players to the muggy swamps scattered across the US, with miles of new landscape to explore.
Fallout 3 Downloadable Content - Broken Steel & Point Lookout is a far more fluid selection of extras, managing to compliment the Fallout world while offering a much-needed level boost for players that have seen all the Wastelands have to offer.
