Synopsis

Join Soviet, Allied and German soldiers as they fight at the height of World War II in this strategy title.

Sharing a common name, this is the sequel to the popular strategy titles Soldiers: Heroes of War II and Faces of War. Three developing missions for Soviet, Allied and German forces take place across 19 missions within three campaigns. Seven bonus missions are also available, which take place on different sides of the conflict. Men of War contains a direct control system, which lets players take control of any soldier on their team, or drive certain vehicles such as tanks. This lets players organise more strategic options, so setting up smaller ambushes and precise attacks can be controlled more precisely.

More than 50 new units can be used in multiplayer modes, as well a new nation that joins the battle - Japan. A revised control scheme means that the battlefield is now far easier to manipulate, and there are many more customisable options on offer. Ratings and statistics for every member of a multiplayer match can now be viewed, and all new multiplayer maps include new modes, such as Capture the Flag and High-Value Cargo.

Men of War continues the series’ tradition of realistic strategic warfare, but refines its control scheme and generally improves on the well-worn formula.
