Synopsis
Activision’s rock and roll rhythm game returns with more accessible gameplay, as well as a collection of brand new acts and songs.
Guitar Hero - World Tour quickly expanded the guitar-only gameplay of previous titles to allow whole bands to join together or compete in a series of classic rock tracks. Guitar Hero 5 keeps this features in place, but now makes the process of playing together far simpler with a series of new features. With Party Play mode, players can now grab their plastic instruments at any point during a song and join their friends instantly. Players are no longer limited to separate instruments, as up to four players can now play guitar during one song, each on their own chosen difficultly level.
The most important aspect of the Guitar Hero series has always been its strong band line-up, and Guitar Hero 5 doesn’t disappoint. 85 songs are now squeezed onto one disc from 83 artists, including the likes of David Bowie, Thin Lizzy, The Killers and Elton John.
Multiplayer has always been at the heart of Guitar Hero, and with Guitar Hero 5 jamming with a group of friends, no matter their skill with the game, has been made far easier.
