Synopsis
EA’s co-operative-focused shooter makes its return, seeing Salem and Rios reunite to fight through the crumbling city districts of Shanghai.
Built from the ground up with two player co-operative gameplay in mind, Army of Two’s sequel provides a more polished and immersive gameplay experience that asks players to rely on teamwork and combat tactics to survive. When a series of mystifying disasters strike at the heart of China, soldiers of fortune Salem and Rios are drafted in to fight their way through Shanghai and expose those responsible.
Using the same measured co-operative combat as the original Army of Two, The 40th Day now adds the concept of morality into each gunfight. As well as clear cut ethical decisions, such as whether or not to save a hostage’s life, players will have to make tough moral choices to survive Shanghai’s ongoing destruction. A larger selection of co-op moves opens up new strategies for players to exploit, including mock surrenders and hostage grabs.
Army of Two - The 40th Day’s focus on co-operative gameplay results in a more cohesive and rewarding multiplayer experience, its morality features and updated move list giving combat a new twist.
