Synopsis
The makers of Guitar Hero give their musical rhythm series a pop-fuelled twist on PlayStation 3.
After the success of the Guitar Hero series, Activision has moved the music rhythm formula into the realm of pop, dropping the typical rock and metal songs the game is known for in favour of a more popular chart playlist. Artists such as Lily Allen, No Doubt and The All-American Rejects join classic pop groups The Village People and Snow Patrol in a game that takes a similar approach to its Guitar Hero counterpart.
Once players have chosen their replica instrument of choice they can play along to the pop songs on offer, with any combination of instruments now playable on all tracks. In Party Play mode players can jump into a song at any point and at any chosen difficulty level without the fear of failing a track. A selection of downloadable content from Guitar Hero - World Tour and Guitar Hero 5 can also be used in Band Hero.
Band Hero brings the additive rhythm game formula into the world of popular music, resulting in a more accessible music experience.
