The worlds of action gaming and heavy metal collide in this open-world comedy staring the one and only Jack Black.

Games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band may have thrust rock and roll into the gaming limelight, but Brutal Legend discards the typical rhythm game, instead creating an adventure title that’s a true love letter to the world of metal music. Voiced by the rock star and comedy actor Jack Black, players take on the role of Eddie, hurled backwards through time to the Age of Metal, when the world was first created and ruled by the power of rock and roll. Brutal Legend comes from the mind of Tim Schafer, a man best known for his hilarious adventure titles The Secret of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango and Psychonauts.

Brutal Legend world is inspired by the classic rock and metal album covers of our time, with an open world spanning mountains of guitar amps and V8 engines rising from the dirt. Combat is still at the heart of gameplay, and players can fight close-range with a blood-drenched axe or from afar with Eddie’s demon-slaying guitar.
