Synopsis

Prequel to 2007’s Call of Juarez, Bound in Blood sees the McCall brothers ravage the Wild West in search of fabled Aztec treasure.

With science fiction and gritty urban shooters already filling the games market, the Call of Juarez series makes a refreshing change of pace, taking place in the heart of North America’s Wild West shortly after the Civil War. After abandoning their allied troops in battle to defend their home, the McCall brothers must stay one step ahead of the law while tracking down the ancient Mexican treasure needed to restart their lives. Much like the title’s plotline, Bound in Blood has strong a spaghetti western theme, with tense and brutal face-to-face gun fights.

No depiction of the old west would be complete without a wide variety of old-fashioned weaponry, from canons and machine guns to more traditional pistols. Choosing between brothers Ray and Thomas, the siblings can work together during more demanding fights, and each has his own specific abilities.

Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood brings a welcome change to the world of first-person shooters with its grimy western setting and focus on dramatic storytelling.
