Synopsis
The first two titles in the epic God of War series are given a high-definition makeover in this collection of Sony’s brutal action games.
Originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2005, God of War sees former Spartan army captain Kratos seek bloody vengeance against Acres, the Greek God of War. With its fantastical plot and fluid combat, Sony’s action title quickly became one of the most renowned games of its generation. God of War II continued Kratos’ quest for vengeance against the gods of Greek mythology, increasing the series’ sense of scale and further polishing the visuals.
With the third and final chapter in the God of War trilogy now on PlayStation 3, The God of War Collection moves the first two God of War titles onto Sony’s third system. The classic gameplay remains firmly intact, but each game has been given a high-definition polish to help it match up to more recent releases. Sony’s user trophy system has also been added into each game.
God of War Collection moves the first two games in the action series to new hardware, keeping the same fluid combat while taking advantage of the extra power the PlayStation 3 allows.
