Gran Turismo 5: Prologue gives players a little taste of the definitive driving simulator with a small selection of the full game’s tracks and cars.
Rather than force gamers to wait for the full version of the next Gran Turismo title to reach these shores, Polyphony Digital has put together this Prologue. A short selection of choice sports cars and five real-life tracks from Europe, Japan and the US to tide fans over. New updates in this version include the option to race with up to sixteen other opponents, as well as state-of-the-art high definition visuals, all running at a smooth 60 frames per second.
For the first time in a Gran Turismo title, online play has been included. As with offline races, sixteen players can race at one time or go head-to-head on any of the online tracks included.
The Gran Turismo series is known for being one of the most realistic and intense racing experiences available, and this sample doesn’t disappoint. The unforgiving, yet rewarding handling and stunning graphics make a welcome return. There’s more than enough content here to hold fans until a full release.
