The Street Fighter series is considered by many to be the pinnacle of arcade fighters, and Street Fighter IV managed to capture the feel of the original games with refined fighting mechanics and a striking new visual style that stayed true to the series’ colourful roots. In the spirit of games such as Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Street Fighter IV returns to Capcom’s fighter to refine its combat and add in a selection of new fighters, stages and features.
A host of classic fighters from across the Street Fighter series make a welcome return in Street Fighter IV, including fan favourites T. Hawk and Dee Jay. Fighters new to the series include Taekwondo expert Juri, and the slippery grappler Hakan. In another throwback to the Street Fighters of old, two bonus stages allow players to test their mettle between matches by destroying cars and falling barrels within a strict time limit. Fighting online, players can compete in team battles and watch previous matches in the Replay Channel.
Super Street Fighter IV brings more of the classic Street Fighter flavour back to the renowned fighting series, alongside a more streamlined online system.
