Synopsis
One of the first games to use Nintendo’s Wii MotionPlus add-on, Grand Slam Tennis gives players the added depth of precise motion control on the tennis court.
Although Wii is ideal for gesture based gameplay in sports titles such as Wii Sports, pulling off precise and subtle movements can sometimes be a challenge. Thanks to Nintendo’s Wii MotionPlus - an add-on that simply slots into the bottom of a player’s Wii Remote - its responsiveness can now be greatly improved in select titles. In Grand Slam Tennis, swings and movements of the racket are now shown almost precisely, allowing for far more accurate tennis matches. A collection of Grand Slam tennis champions are on offer to play with, or players can create their own unique persona to compete.
Rather than match the realistic visuals of tennis titles on more powerful consoles, Grand Slam Tennis takes a vibrant approach, with cartoon style characters and bright, colourful visuals that suit Wii. Players are free to jump online and compete against other Gland Slam Tennis players in a series of challenges.
As one of the first titles to utilize Wii MotionPlus, Grand Slam Tennis helps to finally fulfil the sporting potential of Wii’s motion controls.
