Synopsis

A unique experience on Nintendo Wii, Endless Ocean takes players on a relaxing journey through the world’s oceans.

The game takes place in the fictional waters around the island Manoa Lai, an oasis of coral reefs, shipwrecks and home to hundreds of different marine life species. These are diverse, from penguins and dolphins to sharks and colossal blue whales. Players take the role of a freelance photographer who takes pictures of the creatures in their natural habitat for various magazine publications. Underwater environments are diverse, with cave and deep trench diving being available in addition to the shallow water dives.

Divers are controlled exclusively with the Wii Remote, which is pointed at the screen in the desired direction of travel. On the journey, many treasures can be salvaged from the seabed, some of which can be very valuable. An option to play MP3s off an SD card is also available so that players can create their own soundtrack. Dives with friends may take place over Wi-Fi Connection, where it is possible to conduct guided tours.

A highly detailed and expansive adventure, Endless Ocean features relaxing gameplay that will educate and entertain players.

Features

  • Forever Blue supports MP3 files on SD cards, so the player can listen to his own music whilst diving and relaxing underwater. The music is accessed on board the boat, by interacting with the Radio. Only one track can be used for diving at a time, it must be swapped at the radio to listen to a different song.
  • The main tasks that can be done in the game are found in the cabin via the PDA, where the player can gain items to use whilst diving, for example a camera, so he can do the missions where he is asked to take photographs underwater fish that will be on the cover of a magazine or take another diver to a nice location. These missions unlock content, such as items to use underwater (like a light pen to make notes in the water) or different diving gear that can be use to customise the diver.
