Synopsis

Kirby has been transformed into an adorable bundle of yarn in this platformer based in a colourful patchwork land.

Alongside the likes of Donkey Kong and Mario, Kirby is one of Nintendo’s most treasured icons. In Kirby’s Epic Yarn, the pink blob has been transformed into a colourful piece of yarn, alongside the rest of his patchwork world. This striking visual style gives the game its own unique look, as well as offer a number of new gameplay elements. Using his new yarn-based abilities, Kirby can turn into robotic tanks, off-road trucks and submarines to help cross each perilous level intact.

Helping Kirby on his patchwork quest are Zeke and Beadrix, who will send him off to find hidden secrets and offer help during each level. With its handmade feel, each level in Kirby’s Epic Yarn has its own distinct style, including the bright colours of Quilty Square and the layered patchwork feel of Grass Land. A second player can also take control of Prince Fluff for two player co-operative gameplay.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn takes the pink icon in a bold new direction, its striking visual style adding a number of original gameplay elements to the traditional platformer.

In water, he turns into a submarine. At times he can even transform into a massive robotic tank, a UFO and other vehicles
