When a platform game featuring a character who was more of a comedian than a hero appeared on the scene in 1995, few people could have predicted just how much of a stir it would cause, but now many years later the Rayman game series is still going strong. Rayman Origins expands upon the story of the titular character, exploring his early years and giving more insight into how he became a hero. Rayman is summoned when the Glade of Dreams is put in peril and he and his best friend Globox must work together to stop their world from plunging into darkness. Rayman Origins for Nintendo Wii features 4 player drop in/drop out cooperative play so you can restore peace to the Glade of Dreams as a team – Rayman has never been so fun!

A Handful of Highly Talented Artists and Engineers: Rayman Origins was developed by the UBI art team in Montpellier and is built on an open-source game engine—the UBI art Framework—designed by Michel Ancel to allow much smaller teams of artists and developers to produce incredibly high-quality graphics and gameplay quickly and efficiently. This garage-game approach has led to great strides in creativity and innovation
