Synopsis
Shaun White lends his name to this snowboard title from Ubisoft, giving players complete freedom to explore the snow peaks as they see fit.
Much like open-world titles such as Burnout - Paradise, Shaun White Snowboarding doesn’t move players quickly between set races - the title gives players the option to approach the game as they choose. On each of the snow covered mountains the game contains players are free to work against the mountains’ extreme weather, find new paths around the area, compete against other snowboarders near the peak, or simply explore. The Wii Balance Board is implemented in this title, meaning players can twist and turn their way around mountains as if really on a snowboard.
When players are ready for a snowboarding challenge, varied riding styles and tricks are on offer, and a player’s avatar is customizable. Outside of races, players can also throw snowballs, hunt for secret spots and film others pulling off tricks.
Shaun White Snowboarding expands on the sport by giving players a huge amount of freedom, letting them play the game as they wish.
