Synopsis
Konami’s sports compilation returns to Wii with a selection of brand new activities based around Nintendo’s motion control scheme.
Following closely in the footsteps of games such as Wii Sports, Sports Island was one of Wii’s most successful titles, managing to blend real-world sports with a colourful feel that’s welcoming to those unfamiliar with the gaming world. Sports Island 2 follows much the same path, giving players a new selection of sports to play with a group of friends. Each event is based around its own unique control scheme, all of which are instantly accessible.
New events include Mogul Skiing, Tennis, Speed Skating, Dodgeball, Petanque, Ice Hockey and Darts, and each of these can be played either in solo mode or within a new League System brand new to the series. Sports Island 2 also offers players the chance to produce their own on-screen persona with a simple character creation mode. Once created, these characters can be used in the title’s Open mode with other players.
Much like its popular predecessor, Sports Island 2 focuses on the fun of competition, with an accessible control system and wide array of sports challenges.
