Synopsis
James Cameron’s highly anticipated sci-fi epic makes its video game debut, taking players deep into the alien planet of Pandora.
Director of The Terminator and Aliens, fans have been patiently waiting for James Cameron’s science fiction comeback, Avatar, since his last film epic, Titanic. Taking place in the lush forests of alien world Pandora, Avatar - The Game recreates the colour and marvel Cameron’s film and lets players experience its world from their own perspective. When the space fleet of the RDA Corporation first arrives on Pandora in the hopes of mining its valuable resources, its indigenous people, the Na’vi, must fight against its invaders and save the planet they call home.
As players explore Pandora’s landscapes, new lifeforms and strange alien creations based on those in the film will slowly be unveiled. Once players reach the heart of this home world they will need to decide which side to fight with: the RDA consortium or Pandora’s people. Following closely in the footsteps of its film counterpart, certain television sets are capable of displaying the game in full 3D.
Avatar - The Game captures the scope and lush environments of the classic science fiction film, allowing players to experience the alien struggle from both sides of the fight.
