Rock Band returns with brand new instruments in tow in this sequel to the rock ‘n’ roll rhythm game from EA and Harmonix.
Fighting for the rock crown alongside the mighty Guitar Hero, the Rock Band series has quickly proven itself a refined rhythm game in its own right thanks to solid sequels and spin-offs from Green Day and The Beatles. Rock Band 3 brings along a fresh selection of rock tracks for players to perform along to, from artists including Metric, Phoenix, The Vines, Jane’s Addiction, Dio, The Cure and Queen. 83 bands are available in total, some of which make their first appearances in music gaming. Players can now also save playlists and share them with friends.
Alongside the traditional guitar, drums and vocals Rock Band is now known for, Rock Band 3 provides a keyboard peripheral to add keys into chosen tracks. The three-part vocal harmonies first seen in The Beatles - Rock Band also make an appearance. This means up to seven players can now perform in a song together at one time.
With a solid new song line-up and the addition of its keyboard peripheral, Rock Band 3 marks a huge leap forward for the classic rock ‘n’ roll series.
