Synopsis

Ubisoft enters the realm of real-time strategy in EndWar, which uses its own unique control scheme to command troops on the battlefield.

In 2020, humanity’s era of relative peace is at an end, with the world’s limited resources causing worldwide panic. As tensions rise, the third and final World War comes into fruition, powered by the technological advancements 2020 has to offer. Players will take control of one of three national armies - America, Russia or Europe - in order to fight in large scale battles that span the globe. Each of these battlefields is based upon a well-known landscape of current times in places such as Washington D.C. and Paris.

Though EndWar uses many of the features fans expect of the strategy genre - such as varied unit types and vehicle combat - its control scheme has been designed with the console player in mind. Players can control the entire battlefield using only one button on the controller, an analogue stick and, most importantly, voice commands. Using a headset, players can use simple commands to place their troops and manage the combat zone.

Tom Clancy’s EndWar takes the complexities of controlling a strategy title on a console and simplifies the process to make it far more accessible.
