Synopsis

The high-tech explosions of a Hollywood blockbuster meet the pace of Burnout in this arcade racer from the makers of Pure.

Taking inspiration from classic arcade racers such as Burnout, Split/Second - Velocity lets players take part in their own fictional reality TV series, where each participant races through a destructible urban environment set to blow at any moment. As each racer works their way around the track, a powerplay meter will slowly build that allows them to trigger their own track-shattering explosions used to destroy other racers or drastically alter the layout of each track. Racing across airports, motorways and city streets, players will have to carefully judge when to utilise their next detonation.

Coming from the makers of the over-the-top quad bike racer Pure, Split/Second offers players a variety of super-charged sport cars to tear across each track. In keeping with its television show presentation, Split/Second throws players into a selection of individual episodes, each proving a unique challenge that involves both racing and colourful pyrotechnics.

Split/Second - Velocity adds a healthy dose of Hollywood magic to the world of arcade racing, allowing players to drive alongside huge explosions that rip through each track and demolish other racers in the process.
