Synopsis

Beloved Nintendo characters from years gone by come together for the ultimate battle in Nintendo’s latest beat-‘em-up.

Smash Bros has always been more about its stellar line-up of Nintendo characters and arenas than its actual gameplay, but Brawl ups the stakes in both departments. Not only do the usual Nintendo mascots make an appearance - with Mario, Luigi, Pikachu, Link and Wario all returning to the title - but characters from other developers have also joined the fight. Players will be able to fight with Sonic and even Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, each with their own themed arena to brawl in.

Smash Bros. Brawl expands its single player with The Subspace Emissary, a collection of fighting matches, platform areas and boss fights for each character, all with interlinking plotlines. Brawl’s biggest addition, however, is its online multiplayer mode. Players can join either friends or participants from around the world using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and play matches with up to 4 players online.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the ultimate fan service to Nintendo addicts, but its simple and addictive gameplay make it a fighter for all Wii owners. With the addition of online play, along with Mario Kart Wii, this is set to become Wii’s true multiplayer title.
