Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s tale returns to the big screen alongside its video game counterpart thanks to Disney.

With director Tim Burton at the helm, Alice in Wonderland hopes to revitalise the iconic fantasy book with a stylish film update that takes place after both the original Alice in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking Glass. Taking Burton’s twisted new vision of Alice’s adventure, Alice in Wonderland on Nintendo DS lets players assume the role of Alice herself as she rediscovers the weird and wonderful world she left behind as a child.

Alice in Wonderland implements its own unique visual style on Nintendo’s portable, with a cleaner, brighter feel placed alongside its striking character designs. Players will need to trace their own path through Carol’s iconic Wonderland by using the DS touch screen and stylus. A handful of supporting characters from the film will be on hand to help Alice during battle against the Red Queen’s minions.
