Ubisoft’s gun-slinging action title returns to Wii with an entirely new visual style and refined control scheme.

Red Steel 2 marks a dramatic departure from the original Wii launch title, moving the series away from its gritty feel and towards a more colourful Wild West tone. Based in the midst of a high-tech city surrounded by a barren desert, players once more have access to both guns and swords as they carve their way towards the town’s evil Warlord. With Nintendo’s Wii MotionPlus accessory now in tow, combat in Red Steel 2 is far more responsive and accurate, recreating a player’s Wii Remote movements almost precisely during combat.

Taking its new Wild West sensibilities to heart, Red Steel 2 utilizes a striking visual style that infuses each location and character with a healthy injection of colour. Allowing players to switch between guns and sword at any time, Red Steel 2 lets players be creative on the battlefield, facing upwards of six enemies at a time as they discover the various combos available during fights.

With a greatly improved control scheme and striking new visual style, Red Steel 2 is a bold and imaginative update to the original Red Steel.
