The legendary real-time strategy series receives its long-awaited sequel, once again pitting the Protoss, Terran and Zerg against one another as they battle across the galaxy.
For many, the original StarCraft is the pinnacle of real-time strategy gaming, with countless loyal fans still playing years after its release. Its sequel picks up where previous titles left off, seeing a new cast of characters enter the conflict, each loyal to their well-known StarCraft races. Its strategy gameplay has been tweaked and polished, but the fast-paced and balanced formula the series is known for remains intact.
New units and gameplay mechanics have been put in place to further distinguish between the series’ iconic races, and an updated graphics engine adds a new graphical sheen to the scale and pace of the original. Competitive features and multiplayer utilities are now handled through a refined Battle.net interface. Players can also personalise their own custom maps and script new campaigns to play through.
