EA’s most authentic recreation of the nation’s favourite sport steps onto the pitch in FIFA 09.

Players can enjoy the years of upgrades and new features that have been put into each rendition of the FIFA series, many of them new to this edition. Updated collision animations, hidden throw-ins and PC specific controls all make this edition one of the most authentic on the market. This PC version also contains a number of extras, including a completely overhauled graphical look asked for by PC gamers and a customizable widget interface that is integrated into the menu system, giving players real-world football information.

Pro Skills moves are performed by using the mouse to draw certain techniques on the screen over a player, pulling off new scoop turns, rainbow flicks and ball rolls quickly. Interactive leagues let a player represent their favourite club online, with Barclays Premier, Italian and French Leagues all included. A manager mode gives the option of pre-season friendlies, as well as the ability to customise a player’s team and alter a formation depending on the opponent being faced.

FIFA’s yearly football title improves on its predecessors with some unique new gameplay features and the return of many old favourites.
