Synopsis
Konami’s stellar football title makes its 2010 debut with more new features than ever before seen in the series’ history.
Though the Pro Evolution series was once considered the undisputed leader of the football pack, recent editions of EA’s FIFA have started to give the series a run for its money. With Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, Konami has gone back to the drawing board with a number of fundamental changes to the core of the title. Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 offers more changes and additions to the series than have ever been seen in previous editions. Playing more as a football simulation, Pro Evolution’s focus is still on recreating the strategy the world of football has to offer.
On the pitch, zonal defending means footballers will automatically cover open space, forcing players to look for fresh ways to attack during each match. Returning to its simulation roots, players can no longer exploit the same tactic each match to succeed. Referees are now far more intelligent, allowing them to make fairer and more balanced decisions during play. Footballers themselves also have their own abilities and behaviours that affect the way they play on the pitch.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 offers a return to the simulation roots of the classic football series, its new features adding to the realism and tactical gameplay the game is known for.
